Answer:

The four types of forests found in Southeast Asia are: evergreen forests (mountain and lowland), deciduous forests, mangrove forests and swamp forests.

Explanation:

Southeast Asia is popular for its high biodiversity. This is the reason why there are many types of forests which can be found in the place. Let's tackle them one after the other.

 • Evergreen Forests - most of the forests in Southeast Asia are moist evergreen forests. They are part of the tropical rain forest, which is an essential source of tropical hardwood.
 • Deciduous Forests - this type of forest receives an annual rainfall not going over 80%. An example of this forest is located in Eastern Indonesia.
 • Mangrove Forests - this type of forest supports the fishing livelihood of many Asians. It doesn't only enhance fisheries but also serves as a protection of coastal areas. Majority of this forests lie in the Philippines, Myanmar, Indonesia, Cambodia, etc.
 • Swamp Forests (Peat Swamp Forest) - this type of forest has low nutrient contents and high acidity. Its waterlogged environment makes it ideal as a habitat for some plants and animals.
