Aphorism is a statement of truth or opinion expressed in a concise and witty manner. The term is often applied to philosophical, moral and literary principles.

Let us look at some aphorism examples:

Youth is a blunder; Manhood a struggle; Old age regret. [Benjamin Disraeli]

Pride hath fall. [Proverb]

The man who removes a mountain begins by carrying away small stones. [William Faulkner]

Life’s Tragedy is that we get old too soon and wise too late. [Benjamin Franklin]

Yesterday is but today’s memory, and tomorrow is today’s dream. [Khalil Gibran]

The simplest questions are the hardest to answer. [Northrop Frye]

A proverb is no proverb to you till life has illustrated it. [John Keats]

Words are, of course, the most powerful drug used by mankind. [Rudyard Kipling]

Write a paragraph describing how cats and dogs are different.
Artyom0805 [142]

Answer:

Dogs are extremely “communicative” and use their body language and barking to express their feelings. Cats, on the other hand, usually hunt on their own, and do not need any company. Certainly they can live together, although they do not require to be with one another or with anyone else.

Read the excerpt from Anthem
Harman [31]

Answer:

They suggest that reality exists outside the mind, whether or not a person can perceive it

Explanation:

Objectivism is a philosophy that stimulates interest in rational growth and independent thinking. With these factors, individuals would be productive, honest, direct, responsible and fair, even if they didn't realize it.

From reading the text above, we can see that the words "clear sight and clean sour" are totally related to the concept of objectivism. This is because in addition to emphasizing rationality within real situations, they suggest that reality exists outside the mind, whether a person can perceive it or not.
