In general the Byzantine Empire was monotheistic instead of polytheistic since it was accepted that people would worship only one god as opposed to many. However given the vast nature of the empire it was inevitable that some people would by polytheistic.

She is well known for all of the the letters she sent to Adams while he was attending the Continental Congress in Pennsylvania. The letters were filled with advice to her husband, after he sought her opinion on many governmental and political issues.
