The election of 2000 was an example of how bad the electoral process is because the media is largely to blame, because instead of being impartial, they took polls taken at their own convenience, the polling results were a priori and providing publicity to the candidate of your choice. Hence the evil that afflicts the electoral process where there really is a lack of transparency so that there are free elections and media manipulations of these media do not exist.

in the cartoon, now prosperous immigrants object to further immigration to America. What is the meaning behind the prosperous im
sleet_krkn [62]

The meaning behind the prosperous immigrant's shadows has a lot in common with the things they are objecting. The shadows shows people who is tired, hurted and some of them looks like they are taking things over them, like bags or personal stuff. This tell us that they also reflects the pain of the people who in the past were immigrants. That some day before the one we are on, their parents or grandparents could come from another place and ask for permission or for help to survive in this new place they want to call home. In any country there are people from all the globe, and they are constantly in touch with things or persons from another country or city. We all have something to share, to find, to learn and to teach, so any country a person is coming from should not be rejected. Since the moment somebody is leaving his home, his city, his country is because maybe he wants to find a better place to grow up.

Why would mexican officials have been upset by the annexation of texas by the united states?
Talja [164]
Mexico still considered Texas to be a part of the Mexican country. Originally in 1836, Texas broke off from Mexico, but Mexico still saw it belonging to them. When the Mexican-American war ended and Mexico lost its territories to the United States the same year as the United States annexed Texas, they saw the US as robbing Mexico of its lands including Texas.
