Answer:

D.address the causes of the Depression

Explanation:

The New Deal is the name given by the president of the United States Franklin D. Roosevelt to his interventionist policy set in motion to fight against the effects of the Great Depression in the United States. This program was developed between 1933 and 1938 with the objective of supporting the poorest layers of the population, reforming financial markets and revitalizing a wounded American economy since the crash of 1929 due to unemployment and bankruptcies.

What problem did sarah and rachel have in common (that was eventually resolved for both)?
Brilliant_brown [7]
I believe this should be Sarah from the bible. In this case, both were not bearing children and were barren until The GOd of Israel opened their womb and the bore children. sarah only bore Isaac and died at the age of 120+ years, while Rachel died in child birth after giving Joseph the great and Benjamin.

What was the reason for the drastic increase in congressional staff during the 20th century?
Georgia [21]
Congressional staff increased greatly in the 20th century due to the shift in politics from grassroots to higher levels of lobbying, groups and special interests. The congress person was not only invested in their district but in those special interest groups requesting meetings and events with the congressperson. By increasing staff, they would be able to learn more about these groups and lobbyists so they could make a more informed decision. It also allowed the staff to deal directly with the public. A congressman in the early 20th century would only have in person visits and the occasional phone call, but by the end of the 20th century, the congressperson would have contact via appointment, call, letter, email and even rudimentary instant contact via Instant Messenger and sites like Myspace.
