The correct option is: "it started in the Deep South, and is believed to have come from musical traditions of slaves combined with western instruments and techniques"

Jazz is a musical genre born in the late nineteenth century in the United States, which expanded globally throughout the twentieth century.

Half a century after the founding of the city of New Orleans, in 1764, France ceded it to Spain to recover it again in 1801. Two years later, in 1803, it became part of the United States as a result of the purchase of Louisiana . For this reason, the French and Spanish, along with Germans, Italians, English, Irish and Scots contributed to the formation of the cultural scene of the city. The origin of the black inhabitants was diverse, being mostly from the western zone of Africa or the Caribbean. It is in this heterogeneous cultural context where the emergence of musical styles as diverse as jazz, cajun, zydeco or blues originated.

In many areas of the South of the United States the beating of drums was prohibited by law and in areas such as Georgia, the use of any musical instrument by slaves was prohibited. However, at the beginning of the 19th century, festivals with African drum and dance music were often organized in New Orleans, in the Plaza del Congo, and in Memphis, Kansas, Dallas or San Luis. Percussion and string instruments similar to those used in indigenous African music were used. The slaves used to have a free Sunday and organized parties in the Plaza del Congo that lasted until approximately 1885, coinciding with the emergence of the first jazz bands.

The correct answer is D) it started in the Deep South, and is believed to have come from musical traditions of slaves combined with western instruments and techniques.

Even though the Harlem Renaissance popularized Jazz, it started in the Deep South and is believed to have come from musical traditions of slaves combined with western instruments and techniques.

It is true that Jazzmusic developed deep in the South as a musical expression that had its roots in the life of the black people. This peculiar and exquisite rhythm developed from religious songs in the south and slave songs from the plantations and combined its rhythm with the Blues and ragtime.

shepuryov [24]

Answer:

I would say true.

Explanation:

Although the American Revolution and the French Revolution are often thought of as more common "sister revolutions", the American Revolution and the English Civil War are too. The English Civil War happened basically because Enlightenment thinkers thought the traditional government ideas were rights and authority should be changed, while the American Revolution started because the American colonists rebelled against Britain.
