Answer:

Challenging the Moon-god Khonsu

Explanation:

Thoth was well aware that Re's curse could not be recalled, however Thoth found a wise form. He went to Khonsu, the Moon-god and challenged him to play a draughts contest and in every game Thoth was the winner and Khonsu every time risked more and lost a lot as well, in every play the Moon-god had not enough light to shine along the full month. In this way Thoth broke the curse, by challenging Khonsu.

Which statement BEST describes Rousseau’s view of the relationship between governments and the rights of the people?
katen-ka-za [31]

Answer:

B) When governments are created with the consent of the people, the people are more likely to retain their natural rights.

Explanation:

Jean Jacques Rousseau is best known for his work A Conversation on the Arts and Sciences, which was published in the 18th century. The Social Contract contains the most famous words he ever wrote: "Men are born free, but they are chained everywhere." From this intriguing start, Rousseau goes on to explain the various ways in which civil society's chains thwart man's natural birthright to natural freedom.
