The Anti-federalists opposed the ratification of the Constitution because they believed the new constitution would give too much power to the federal government.

Anti-federalists were concerned that the new US Constitution would result in a similar political structure to what the Americans experienced underneath the control of Great Britain. Considering that this government structure was a main cause in America declaring their independence, the Anti-federalists wanted to do everything they could from having any government similar to the one they had under Britain.

What was the difference between an indentured servant and a slavw
Alex787 [66]
An indentured servant was someone who would pay for his journey to the US or for his debt by serving the person who helped him and after a while the debt would be over and the person would be free. The person would have all rights like regular people. Slaves had no rights at all and were not even observed as people and their slavery would never end unless the owner specifically freed them. Slavery was not contractual unlike indentured serviture.
