-6 + 4q +  (-6q)

first you have to remove the parentheses so because there is a plus sign before the parentheses and there is a negative sign inside the parentheses and you should know that a positive and negative sign give you a negative sign. so the equation changes to -6 + 4q - 6q. then you have to combine like terms in this case it will be the 4q and the -6q, you can figure out that it combines to -2q because 4 - 6 = -2 or because 4 + (-6) = -2. so then you are left with:

= -6 - 2q  or -2q - 6

hope this helps :)

Given (x – 7)2 = 36, select the values of x.
Gre4nikov [31]

Answer:

x = 13 and x = 1

Step-by-step explanation:

(x-7)² = 36

simplify left side of equation

x² - 14x + 49 = 36

Our object now is to get every thing on the left side of the equal sign so we can factor. To do this, we subtract 36 from both sides

x² - 14x + 13 = 0

we then factor the left side of the equation

( x - 1 ) ( x - 13 ) = 0

we then set factors equal to 0 and solve both factors for x

x - 1 = 0

add 1 to both sides

x = 1

x - 13 = 0

add 13 to both sides

x = 13

The values of x are x = 13 and x = 1

Number 18 please help
tresset_1 [31]

Answer:

D.

Step-by-step explanation:

First, multiply straight across and put everything together:

\frac{3a}{b}\cdot \frac{b^2}{12c}=\frac{3ab^2}{12cb}

Notice we can simplify by cancelling a b and reducing 3/12:

=\frac{ab}{4c}

This cannot be simplified further.

How do i find the y-intercept of an eqaution that passes throught two points
Pachacha [2.7K]

They way to find the y-intercept from two points is to first find the slope, which can be derived from the formula m=\frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}.

Then, you can plug in one of the two points (x_1,y_1) or (x_2,y_2) into the formula y=mx+b to solve for b, which is your y-intercept.
