Answer: Mr. Davis would need to be told that he can be signed up for Medicare at any time. He should be told that the coverage will normally start on the fourth month after the dialysis treatment has started.

Explanation:

When someone is diagnosed with end-stage renal disease, Medicare will cover the person. When a person has end-stage renal disease they will need to sign up for both Medicare parts A & B to be covered fully. During the sign-up  process, they need to make sure they are approved as ESRD to avoid paying any late enrollment fee.
