Let us spend one day as deliberately as Nature, and not be thrown off the track by every nutshell and mosquito’s wing that falls

on the rails. Let us rise early and fast, or break fast, gently and without perturbation; let company come and let company go, let the bells ring and the children cry—determined to make a day of it.
How does Thoreau use the imagery of bells in the excerpt?
a. The bells represent festivity.
b. The bells symbolize a spirit of happiness.
c. The bells are a symbol of civilization.
d. The bells represent fate.

In Act I Banquo says, "The instruments of darkness tell us truths/Win us with honest trifles, to betray's/In the deepest consequ
cricket20 [7]

Banquo in those words means that many times the "bad guys" do not have to lie, cheat or hurt us physically. In the case of witches they do not lie to them but they tell half truths to Mcbeth and Banquo, this makes Mcbeth tempt to follow the predictions of the witches without thinking that there may be other truths and consequences. In the end, these half predictions lead Macbeth to its ruin.

According with the last, Banquo doesn't trust the witches because they only tell us the good and not the bad . They just give half truths.

What is setting in the tell tale heart ?
8_murik_8 [283]

Answer:

The main setting it the old man's house, the secondary setting would be the murders house where the cops interview him.

Explanation:

The main setting would be the victim's house, where the story mostly takes place. In this story, we go into his house where he will stalk, kill, disembodied, and clean up his mess. From there we will go to the second setting, the murders house, where the cops interview him, he will get great paranoia from the supposedly beating heart, he'll confess, and get arrested.

Hope this helps! Edgar Allen Poe is one of my favourites, especially in audio.
