Answer:

Depersonalization and derealization are experiences in which oneself or the environment seem strange, as in a dream or a movie.

Explanation:

It is a distressing and disturbing experience in which the person experiences a feeling of strangeness about himself, a feeling of being separated, or outside the body itself. It coexists with derealization, consisting of an altered perception of the environment that produces a sense of unreality. The person experiencing the world as if it were strange, as if he were in a dream. In both there is an altered perception of reality, but while in depersonalization that sensation refers to the body itself, in derealization it is the environment that appears altered.

Affected patients have great difficulty describing these episodes and may believe they are going crazy. They can perceive some changes in the shape and size of objects and people may seem strange. An alteration in the subjective sensation of the passage of time may also appear. These experiences are not serious or dangerous, however, they can be disturbing and confusing, causing a concern and discomfort.

What provide an opening for air to enter the nasal cavity?
pychu [463]

Nares provide an opening for air to enter the nasal cavity.

Air enters the nasal cavity from the outside through two openings: the nostrils or external nares. The openings from the nasal cavity into the pharynx are the internal nares.

The nasal cavity and mouth join at the area in the back of the throat called the oropharynx  . The pharynx is part of two body systems (the respiratory system and the digestive system) because it carries both air and food.

At the bottom   the pharynx is divided in to two pipes-  one for air and one for food. One pipe, the larynx, is for air only. It’s also called the voice box because it contains a pair of vocal cords that vibrate to make sounds when you talk.

A small flap of tissue called the epiglottis protects the larynx. When we swallow, the epiglottis covers the larynx to prevent food and liquid from going into the lungs.

The trachea (windpipe) is the part of the airway that continues below the larynx .

The carina is at the bottom of the trachea and is the point at which the trachea divides into the left and right main bronchus leading to the lungs.
