It’s a polyphonic texture ( meaning 2 or more lines are playing independently

The Harmony is simple but can sound very complex in polyphonic texture.

There were many features that enveloped baroque music. These include long flowing melodic lines and phrases, ornamentation: such as trills, drastic dynamic contrast, and the use of the harpsichord.
