Carmen Lomas Garza (1948-) is an american artist born in Texas.
Her paintings and illustrations - mainly from the 1960s and 1970s - aimed to show positive activities of Mexican cultural festivities such as the celebration of quinceañera or a simple card game. Its purpose was to demonstrate the culture of a people to try to reduce the discrimination and prejudice suffered by the Mexican people.
