Answer:

1. social zone

4-12 ft.

2. intimate zone

0-18 in.

3. public zone

12-25 ft.

4. personal zone

18 in.-4 ft.

Explanation

Proxemics how space and distance influence human behaviour. In other words, how the closeness among and between human individuals influences the way they communicate and interact with each other.

Broadly speaking, proxemics divide four distances for different human interaction.

The intimate zone (0 to 18 inches) is the space where people touches each other. Including whisperings and embraces.

The personal interaction zone (18 inches to 4 feet), is where people interact with close friends and family. At this distance, you can talk and play within the same small room.

The social zone (4 to 12 ft) is where individuals interact with acquaintances. Think about how close you are from your peers in your classroom.

The public zone (12 to 25 ft) is generally used for public communication. Think about the distance between an artist and the audience on a live stage presentation.

Proxemics help to explain why people feel connected with strangers in situations such as rallies, sports events, night clubs, etc...
