Relief printing technique is the process of printing from a raised surface where the non-image areas have been cut away. It is a technique in which the parts of the printing surface that carry ink are left raised, while the remaining areas (negative spaces) are cut away. Woodcuts and linoleum prints (lino cuts) are relief prints.
