The first form is the human figure, which would represent chiefs, dead ancestors, and more. The second form is abstraction and stylization which was prefered over realistic representations. The third form was sculpture. And the fourth is Luminosity which is the lustrously smooth surface of most African figural sculpture, often embellished with decorative scarification, indicates beautifully shining, healthy skin. Figures with rough surfaces and deformities are intended to appear ugly and morally flawed.
