I can only give you one, but here you go.

The Peackock Blue Salwar Kameez is a rare bird native to Northern India, near the Himalayas. Its mating call is often mistaken as a train. People often come running up to the bird while in mating season because they think they are about to miss their train (trains are very popular in India, due to the colonization of India by the British). Their feathers glow in the dark, which makes them targets to prey when they are on night flights. Due to this, they normally bury themselves underground during the day. They enjoy the cool dirt.

I hope that helps.

THE STANFORD PRISON EXPERIMENT
vfiekz [6]

This infamous Stanford Prison Experiment has etched its place in history, as a notorious example of the unexpected effects that can occur when psychological experiments into human nature are performed.

Like a real life ‘Lord of the Flies', it showed a degeneration and breakdown of the established rules and morals dictating exactly how people should behave towards each other.

The study created more new questions than it answered, about the amorality and darkness that inhabits the human psyche.

As a purely scientific venture, the experiment was a failure, but it generated some results that give an insight into human psychology and social behavior. The ethical implications of this study are still discussed in college and undergraduate psychology classes all across the world.

In the days of the Abu Ghraib and Guantanamo abuses, the Stanford Prison Experiment is once again becoming relevant, showing that systematic abuse and denial of human rights is never far away in any prison facility.

This study is so well known that a Hollywood movie about the Stanford Prison Experiment is going to be released in 2009. The experiment has also been the basis of many similar studies, over the years, but these have had much stricter controls and monitoring in place.

I HOPE THIS HELPS

What is the story of christmas carol
77julia77 [94]

Answer:

On a chilly Christmas Eve, Ebenezer Scrooge, a mean-spirited, miserly old man, sits in his counting-house. Because Scrooge refuses to spend money on heating coals for a fire, his clerk, Bob Cratchit, shivers in the anteroom. Fred, Scrooge's nephew, visits him and asks him to his annual Christmas party. Scrooge is also approached by two portly gentlemen who ask for a donation to their charity. In answer to his nephew's "Merry Christmas!" Scrooge responds with bitterness and venom, spitting forth an angry "Bah! Humbug!"

Scrooge receives a disturbing apparition from the ghost of his deceased partner, Jacob Marley, later that evening after returning to his dark, freezing flat. Marley tells his tragic narrative, appearing worn and white. His spirit has been cursed to walk the Earth, weighed down by heavy chains, as a punishment for his greedy and self-serving life. Marley is hoping to save the day.

Write a summary of DARK THEY WERE From paragraph 267 -283 250 words
Evgesh-ka [11]

"Dark They Were" is a short story written by Ray Bradbury. In this story we are introduced to a group of Americans who were selected to be sent to Mars and colonize the planet, while the USA is participating in a war. These Americans then store seeds, food, water, clothing, and other elements that will allow them to establish the colony on Mars.

The Bittering family was selected to be one of the settlers of Mars and soon after arriving they start to plant agricultural crops in the soil of Mars, as well as the other families. However, crops begin to behave strangely and do not look like the food on earth. Animals also begin to undergo strange mutations and even people begin to have their bodies modified, losing their human appearance and looking more like a Martian. Even the Bittering family goes through these mutations.

The colony completely loses contact with the American government and is unable to get help for their problems. However, at the moment when American astronauts manage to reestablish this contact and go to the Martian colony to check on how the colonists are doing, they do not find any human being, just a group of strange-looking but sympathetic aliens who speak English in an admirable way.
