17x=180-95

17x=85

x=85/17

x=5

Step2- Substitute the value of x in both equations:

8x+2=8(5)+2=40+2=42

Therefore, the first variable is 42degrees

9x+3=9(5)+3=45+3=48

Therefore, the second variable is 48 degrees
