Answer:

Exodus is one of the five books of Moses in the Torah. It deals with the Israelites' departure from Egypt, a dramatic story of an enslaved people's longing for liberation.

The book was written according to the Jewish and Christian tradition by Moses himself. It is only recently that researchers have revised this view. Today, most people agree that the Book of Moses comes from many different oral and written stories, written down by several authors over a period of several hundred years. The final compilation should have been completed in the 500s BC.

Exodus wants to show how God helps his people and gives them freedom from captivity. The great leader of the Israelites, Moses, is given the mission of God to lead his people through the wilderness and the desert to the uplifting goal, a promised paradise in the land of Canaan.
