How does Shakespeare's treatment of the moon in A Midsummer Night's Dream differ from how Ovid uses the moon in the myth "Pyramus and Thisbe"?

Shakespeare's references to the moon show the passage of time, while Ovid uses the moon to symbolize the lovers’ feelings for each other.

Shakespeare's references to the moon symbolize the characters’ perception of their circumstances, while Ovid uses the moon in the setting.

Shakespeare's references to the moon create a sense of doom, while Ovid portrays the moon as a judgmental, all-seeing eye.

Shakespeare's references to the moon enhance the mysterious setting, while Ovid speaks of how the moon affects the characters.

Answer:

Shakespeare's references to the moon show the passage of time, while Ovid uses the moon to symbolize the lovers’ feelings for each other.

Explanation:

This is the statement that best describes how each author employs the idea of the moon in their text. Shakespeare employs the idea of the moon in order to convey the passage of time. The moon in this case represents the night and the hours that pass. In the case of Ovid, the moon symbolizes the lovers' feelings for each other, as Pyramus asks the moon to take notice of Thisbe.

What is the Author<br> implying in the phrase the wind must have been right
Julli [10]
Wind is often used for directional and navigational purposes, so this could mean that the author followed something by the wind whether it be how high or low the air- pressure is or which way the wind is blowing. Aswell as the fact that Wind is a major factor in weather determination. For example, if the wind blows ina counter- clockwise direction, then the air pressure is low which means that the weather is or will be bad like rain or storms.
Hope this helps!

KonstantinChe [14]

Answer:

Third Person Omniscient

Explanation:

Third Person Omniscient because the narrator is telling the story knowing and describing all the thoughts and feeling of ALL characters, as opposed to Third Person Limited, which tells the story knowing only one character's feelings and thoughts. First Person tells a story using words such as "I" "me" and "my".
