What is a logical fallacy 4.06 flvs English 2
Lisa [10]

Answer:

A logical fallacy is something that simply does not make sense logically and thus is incorrect; in other words, it is not sound.

Explanation:

An example is the straw man fallacy. It is a fallacy in which a statement or argument is manipulated to seem weaker than it actually is. Another one is slippery slope. It's where someone makes one illogical conclusion after another.

Explain how the images in the poem "the tropics in new york" convey the author's impressions of his homeland.
Nat2105 [25]
The images in this poem convey the author's sadness and longing for his home country because they are rich, colorful, and he describes them with heightened reverence. He even uses the religious image of "mystical skies In benediction over nun-like hills" (meaning it feels like the skies are praying over the hills that look line nuns) to show how much he respects his home land.

What impact does point of view have on "The Gift of the Magi"? Explain how the story would be different if told from the first p
miv72 [106K]

Technically, the story seems to be third person limited omniscient. It's told in the third-person, and only follows Della. We don't see what Jim is doing during the story, and once he does show up, he remains closed to us: we don't know what his reaction to Della's hair is any more than Della does.
