Artist 52 [7]

Answer:

Explanation:

With the onset of World War II, numerous challenges confronted the American people. The government found it necessary to ration food, gas, and even clothing during that time. Americans were asked to conserve on everything. With not a single person unaffected by the war, rationing meant sacrifices for all.

In the spring of 1942, the Food Rationing Program was set into motion. Rationing would deeply affect the American way of life for most. The federal government needed to control supply and demand. Their efforts also included scrap drives, taking factory jobs, goods donations and other similar projects to assist those on the front.

Which two subjects were major focuses of Oklahoma's institutions of higher learning around the time of statehood?
Romashka [77]

In March of 1941, an amendment creating the State System and establishing the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education, was accepted by the legislature.

This became the backbone for higher education in the state, which presented the opportunity to develop nation-wide leadership through education. The importance they gave to this opportunity can be reflected in the implementation of the Oklahoma Campus Compact (OkCC), which organized college presidents to promote civic responsibility and engagement. The state also pioneered the application of financial support programs for students.

Hope this helps!
