Answer:

Abigail age=32 and Cynthia age=24

Step-by-step explanation:

Abigail is 8years older than Cynthia. Twenty years ago Abigail was three times as old as Cynthia

LEts A be the age of Abigail

and C be the age of Cynthia

Abigail is 8years older than Cynthia

A = C+8

Twenty years ago Abigail was three times as old as Cynthia

A-20= 3(C-20)

WE use both equation and solve for A and C

Replace A with C+8

C+8-20= 3(C-20)

C-12 = 3C - 60

Subtract 3C from both sides

-2C - 12= -60

Add 12 on both sides

-2C= -48

divide both sides by -2

C= 24

LEts find out A

A= C+8

A= 24+8 = 32

Pls pls, pls help me with my math
nata0808 [166]

Answer:

C. 94

Step-by-step explanation:

Take in account for PEMDAS: Parenthesis, Exponent, Multiplication/Division, Addition/Subtraction.

First is to find the answer within the innermost parenthesis:

(4²+1).

Find the exponent of 4², which is 16, leaving you the equation of

16+1, which equals to 17.

Next you multiply 3 by 17 (since the parenthesis of 17 borders 3):

17×3=51.

Next, multiply 51 by 2 (same rule as 3×17).

51×2=102.

After this you get 102-2³. Now, find 2³=2×2×2=8

This gets you to 102-8, ending up with your answer of 94.

5. The 7th grade has 386 students. There are 32 more girls than boys in the grade.
timama [110]

Answer:

161 boys

Step-by-step explanation:

First you find the even amount of boys and girls out of 386

386 divided by 2 = 193

Then you subtract 32 boys and add the 32 to girls since there are 32 more girls than boys

(boys) 193 - 32 = 161

(girls) 193 + 32 = 225

So there are 161 boys and 225 girls
