1. I belive the answer is B.They can grow large

Multicellular organism will be connected with each other. This will allow them to form big and well coordinated organs. Multiple neuron can form a long fiber that stretch from the brain to the end of the every body part.

The cell should not be the same as it could differentiate into a more specific cell. The cell should not reproduce quickly as their growth will be regulated. The cell also doesn't have to do all function by itself as they could rely on other cells.

2. I believe the answer is: A. They can form complex organ systems

Multicellular organism could have a well differentiated organ and form an organ which have specific function. This will allow them to do a complex work that could not be achieved by one cell. Kidney could do filtration, absorption and reabsorption which could be achieved by multiple structure formed by different kind of cells.

Approximately 90% of human cancer cells exhibit significant levels of telomerase. Does this mean that telomerase is an oncogene?
alukav5142 [94]

Answer:

No, telomerase is not an oncogene. It prevents the senescence that would occur due to shortened telomeres, but the cell proliferation might still be mitogen-dependent.

Explanation

telomerase is not responsible for causing  deregulation while oncogenes cause deregulation .

Telomeres length shorten after the cell division which stops them to divide again and cell die.

Telomerase prevents this decline in some kinds of cells, including stem cells, by lengthening telomeres, and the hope was that activating the enzyme could  prevent senescence.

If the conservative model had been correct, how many generations of bacterial cell division would have had to pass before mesels
Reil [10]

No generations or hybrid would form before meselson and stahl would have observed evidence of a band in the cscl gradient.

The conservative model predicts that, following a single replication, half of the newly formed DNA double helices will be made entirely of the original, or old, DNA, and the other half will be entirely new. Then, each double helix would be completely replicated during the second round of replication. After that, 25% of the double helices would be all new, and 25% would be entirely old. Thus, the fraction of entirely new DNA double helices would increase with each succeeding round of replication, but the total number of completely unique DNA double helices would remain constant. Therefore, no hybrid DNA molecule containing 14N and 15N is replicated in the conservative model.
