They stay aboard the submarine and acclimatize themselves with oceanography. Some members of the team are enthralled and happy to stay, while some long to return to land.
When the submarine, return to the Atlantic Ocean, it discovers that a school of poulpes (octopus) attacked the vessel of the team, resulting in the death of one crewman.
