Hello. This question is incomplete. The full question is:

from Flesh & Blood So Cheap by Albert Marrin

1. Summarize Review the text to find details about the different floors of the building. What is important to understand about these locations?

Answer:

It is important to understand that the infrastructure of the floors was precarious and insecure, which limited the time needed for workers to escape the fire. Because of this infrastructure, workers had a few minutes to escape, which made the situation much more dangerous.

Explanation:

In "Flesh & Blood So Cheap" we are introduced to the Triangle Waist Company which was located on the top floors of a building. On these floors there were about 40 men and women who worked on the site along with numerous machines and packaging and products that were kept in stock, like any company.

It was on these floors that the fire started putting the lives of workers who were supposed to be off the floors in minutes. This is because the building had a precarious infrastructure, which did not provide any type of security in cases of fire.

Which translations would fit in the blank in order to most effectively link reasons to evidence A: for example
Anuta_ua [19.1K]

The correct answer is option A ("For example").

When supporting any kind of argument, presenting evidence is always a great way of strengthening the reasoning for backing up a certain position. T<u>he phrase </u><u>"for example"</u><u> is commonly found as a way to introduce or link factual evidence to a previously stated argument.</u>

"Similarly" or "on the other hand" would be most commonly used to establish a comparisson; while "however" would point towards a counter-argument.

Hope this helps!

The family of four is only mentioned twice in the text. What is the effect of this narrative choice and leaving out this evidenc
Anvisha [2.4K]

Answer:

The effect of this narrative choice is that it reflects the society's ignorance of or lack of caring towards poor people, giving our attention (and favor) to the rich.

Explanation:

In the context of the article titled "Wealthy teen nearly Experiences Consequences," the author mentions the phrase 'the family of the four' twice in the text with the aim to throw light upon the shallow beliefs and careless attitude of the society towards the poor and helpless people. It emphasizes the idea of how society offers its attention and concentration over the rich so much that the poor are ignored, exploited, and overlooked excessively. This narrative choice makes the idea more effective.
