Read the excerpt from "The Crab That Played with the Sea.” And the Rat said, ‘I am too busy biting through the line that this ol

d Fisherman is spinning. I do not play with the Sea.’ And he went on biting the line. Then the little girl-daughter put up her little soft brown arms with the beautiful white shell bracelets and said, ‘O Eldest Magician! when my father here talked to you at the Very Beginning, and I leaned upon his shoulder while the beasts were being taught their plays, one beast went away naughtily into the Sea before you had taught him his play. And the Eldest Magician said, ‘How wise are little children who see and are silent! What was the beast like?’ Which quotation from the passage is the best example of imagery? “I am too busy biting through the line that this old Fisherman is spinning. I do not play with the Sea.” “Then the little girl-daughter put up her little soft brown arms with the beautiful white shell bracelets.” “While the beasts were being taught their plays, one beast went away naughtily into the Sea before you had taught him his play.” “And the Eldest Magician said, ‘How wise are little children who see and are silent! What was the beast like?’”

Are earthquakes at transfonn boundaries shallow or deep?
andreyandreev [35.5K]

Answer:

shallow

Explanation:

Transform fault earthquakes have shallow focus because the plates meet near the surface. The San Andreas Fault is actually a fault zone made up of a number of other active faults. New Zealand also has a transform plate boundary.

The Dada movement's major purpose was to challenge modern culture and modify people's perceptions of art. So, option (c): "Some people thought that dada poetry would be mocked" is the correct answer.

What is the goal of dada poetry?

Dada poets attempted to break free from convention by using gibberish words and making a broad mockery of what they called "art."

Dadaism was a political movement that arose in response to the senseless violence of WWI trench warfare. It effectively declared war on war, challenging the establishment's ludicrous fall into chaos with its own kind of folly.

PLEASE HELP I CANT FIGURE THIS OUT
egoroff_w [7]
In Chapter 15 of To Kill a Mockingbird, Scout, Jem, and Dill venture downtown at night and find Atticus sitting in front of the jail. Unaware of their presence, Atticus is sitting in a chair and reading a newspaper. As the children begin to leave, a line of cars approaches and stops in front of the jail. Hiding near the hardware store, Scout, Jem, and Dill watch as the men exit the cars and approach Atticus. One of the men says, "He in there, Mr. Finch?" Atticus confirms that Tom Robinson is indeed inside but cautions them, "He's asleep. Don't wake him up." What follows is what Scout refers to as a "sickeningly comic aspect of an unfunny situation."
The men are there to participate in a violent and uncivilized act. However, while their goal is to lynch Tom, they are respectful of Atticus and do as he says by whispering when they speak. It is ironic that they plan to hurt Tom and may even hurt Atticus in the process; they speak to him respectfully and whisper out of obedience to him. They even refer to Atticus as "Mr. Finch." Though there is nothing funny about the events, Scout refers to the situation as "sickeningly comic." This is because the men are managing to be respectful while at the same time planning to do bodily harm.

I hope that helped :)
