C. Superior Military Leaders. Another advantage that was not an option here but is one of the main ones was that the south was fighting a defensive war. So the territory was familiar and they didn't have to stretch there supplies as much as the north.

When it comes to the conflicts North and South in the civil war, it should be said that many more countries supported the Union, that the population in the South was incomparably smaller, but during the first year of war they had the same number of soldiers. It only says that the Southerns entered the war defending their convictions, the way of life and, of course, their territory, because they led a defensive war. Although North had a more developed industry, during the war Southerns built several factories for the production of ammunition and turned out to be very resourceful. They knew how to surprise soldiers from the North very easily knowing the terrain and its advantages and disadvantages. However, they had incomparably better generals and military leaders because almost all military academies were in the South.

The following is an example of what kind of figurative language? "He had been driven hither by the impulse of that Remorse which
dimaraw [331]
The correct answer should be C. Personification

That is because a personification is when you assign human like values to innate objects or abstract concepts. In this case, remorse is behaving like a person that dogs someone around and has a sister and what not and that is not possible because remorse is an abstract idea and not a living being that's capable of doing that.
