There are three ways in which, according to the drafters of the Declaration of Independence, King George III prevented colonial population growth: First, through the passage of policies that made naturalization of migrants in America very difficult, through opposition to colonial laws that sought to encourage new migrations, and third, through laws that made it impossible for colonists to acquire new land to expand to.

These are all reasons that the drafters of the Declaration of Independence used as part of the reasons as to why they opposed further rule by Britain on them, and the explanation they give on how colonial population growth was stopped by the English King George III. All became further fuel for the rebellion that ended in the independence of the United States from Great Britain.
