Answer:

A Christian Saint John of the Cross recorded the ´dark night of the soul´ to explain the movement from sin to true virtue.

Explanation:

These are described in the article about the labours and sanctification that guides the incorrect-doer to a better nature of a Creator's projects of living that will ultimately lead him to meaningful peace. The essence of the person who wants to gain the dignity of God is being sought out in the darkness of their very own ignorance.

While the individual will commit holy acts before others and themselves, the truth of the essence of a individual which will ultimately be determined by God lies throughout the inner desire for a stronger psychological nature.

How does Ovid use two different definitions of art to create meaning in the phrase art hides his art
Sedaia [141]

Answer:

Ovid used two different definitions of art to create meaning in the phrase "art hides art"; one is that art can not imitate nature´s art itself, to such an extent it is achievement hiding.

Explanation:

Ovid began his carrer as first major Roman poet during Augustus´ command, his best known work is "Metamorphoses", a 15-book epic mythological narrative written in elegiac couplets such as Ars Amatoria ("The Art of Love") and Fasti. It is about Pygmalion, a sculptor, that makes an ivory statue which he names Galatea, representing his ideal of womanhood and then falls in love with his own creation. The goddess Venus brings the statue to life in answer to his prayer.

Ovid considered that nature is superior to art, as nature could not with his art compare. In his poem he states two opposing views of nature and its connection to art.
