I think the main theme of william kamkwamba's story is to always follow your dream no matter how much hardship you were born with.
His story told about his life in Malawian village in which he born to a very poor family that can't afford his education. But he taught himself science from various sources and managed to build several scientific inventions at his hometown.

No. Science cannot go too far. Science is the method of pursuing knowledge, and the pursuit of knowledge. Knowledge in itself is not dangerous. It only becomes dangerous when people use it for immoral purposes, and THAT has nothing to do with the science that produced the knowledge.
