Other than the genus and species information, what characteristics do most of the top hit sequences share? select the two best a
gogolik [260]
The characteristics that most of the top hit sequences share are; They contain a ribosomal RNA (rRNA) sequence. Additionally, they contain a sequence of an internal transcribed spacer. The ribosome is a cellular machine found in all organism. It serves to convert the instructions found in messenger RNA into the chains of amino-acids that make up proteins. The ribosomes is responsible for the synthesis of proteins. Internal transcribed spacer refers to the spacer DNA situated between the small-subunit ribosomal RNA and large-subunit rRNA genes in the chromosome or the corresponding transcribed region in the polycistronic rRNA precursor transcript.

Why were Domains added to the classification system after the time of Linnaeus?
Luden [163]

Answer: With the development of powerful microscopes, scientists discovered many single-celled organisms that didn't fit into any of Linnaeus' kingdoms. As a result, a new taxon, called the domain, was added to the classification system.

Damm [24]

Given: The systolic arterial blood pressure observed for 20 dogs is normally distributed with a mean of 152 mm of mercury (Hg) and a standard deviation of 18 mm of Hg.

To find: P(100 < 152)

Method: Calculation of Z-Score followed by the probability or area of the bell curve at X = 100.

Solution:

Mean u = 152, std s = 18

Z score = \frac{X-u}{s} = \frac{100-152}{18} = -2.89

The value of P(100<152) is calculated by looking at the value of Z in the Z score for the standard normal distribution given in the image.

P(Z=-2.89) = 0.0019

The P(Z = -2.89) corresponds to the area in the left tail of the bell curve.

Thus the probability of 100 mm Hg blood pressure is 0.0019.

How do you think greenhouse gas emissions and global climate will change during the next 50 years? If greenhouse gas emissions a
Karolina [17]
Greenhouse gas emissions will continue to increase in the short term, but as new technologies are discovered and implemented by governments and industries, this may eventually reverse. Global climate may continue to warm, but once greenhouse gas emissions are lowered, this may slowly reverse. Current solutions are not yet enough to stop the increase in temperature, but some technologies on the horizon are promising, such as carbon capture and storage, solar energy, and aquaculture of biofuels. One immediate way to reduce greenhouse gas emissions is a change in lifestyle, for example, using less fuel-intensive transportation options and saving electricity.
