Answer:

The given statement is False.

Explanation:

The oxidation process occurring in the liver cleanses the bloodstream of 90% of the alcohol present. Most of the alcohol in the body is broken down and remove from the blood as acetate by this way. 5% is excreted as urine and another 5% eliminated from exhaling and as acetic acid.

Further explanation:

• Most alcohol in the blood stream is broken down by the enzyme alcohol dehydrogenase (ADH) in the liver.

  • 90% of the alcohol in the body will be removed like this.
  • Alcohol dehydrogenase enzyme breaks down alcohol into     acetaldehyde and aldehyde dehydrogenase enzyme rapidly breaks down acetaldehyde into acetate.
  • 5% is eliminated from exhaling and as acetic acid, another 5% is excreted as urine.
  • Microsomal ethanol oxidizing system is an alternative pathway to breakdown high level of alcohol in the blood stream.

I believe the correct answer is false. The oxidation process occurring in the liver rids the bloodstream of not 32% of the alcohol present rather 90% of the alcohol. Five percent is excreted in the urine. Another five percent eliminated from exhaling and the rest is formed into acetic acid.
