The correct answer is D) The expedition did not conduct trade along the way.

The accurate statement describing Magellan’s expedition is “The expedition did not conduct trade along the way.”

Ferdinand Magellan left the port of Spain to start an expedition that aimed to find a sea route to the West in order to arrive to the Islands of Indonesia. Magellan’s crew were 270 men in five ships. They headed to West Africa and then to Brasil. They sailed until they found the strait that took them to the Pacific Ocean. Magellan’s expedition did not conduct trade along the way. It was just exploration.

How can the foreign policy role of the United States be classified in the years after
Tju [1.3M]

Answer:

The answer is, Isolationist.

Explanation:

Isolationism is the foreign policy that was adopted by the USA after the American Revolution.

However, this did not mean that USA disengaged from the affairs of the world and alienated themselves.

It simply meant that as a new nation, USA was not interested in political confrontations with other nations due to their differing political view points. But in the years after the revolution, USA made strong commercial and trade alliances, ties and pacts with many European nations such as Britain, France, Spain and Italy.

In addition, the isolationist policy kept USA away from many of the conflicts, wars and alliances in Europe, allowing USA more time and resources to be used for their domestic development and prosper.
