o open the pizza place where the ratio of pizza places per person is less than 0.008. The population of 15 blocks of the north side of town is 220 people per block, but there are already 26 pizza places in the area. The population of 22 blocks of the south area is 175 people per block, and there are 33 pizza places in the area. Where, if anywhere, should the Pretty Pizza Company open a new pizza place?

Answer: North Side of town

Step-by-step explanation: On the north side there are 220 people per block and there are 15 blocks so you do 220*15= 3,300. But then there are already 26 pizza placed so you take 26/3,300 to get the ratio of .0078 pizza places per one person.

And on the south side, there are 175 people for 22 blocks, so it's 175*22= 3,850. Like before you take the number of pizza places and divide it by the number of people, so it's 33/3,850=.0085 pizza places per one person.

Now, Pretty Pizza Place wanted to put a new restaurant where the ratio of pizza place per one person was less than .008 so they should go to the north side.

The teacher has 5 cups of broth to share with 4 students. Will each student get more or less than 1 cup of broth. Explain.
AleksandrR [38]

Answer:

Each student would get more than 1 cup of broth.

Step-by-step explanation:

The teacher has 5 cups to split with 4 students.

- 5 cups/4 students = 1.25 cup of broth, which is also equalivent 1 1/4 cup of broth. 1.25>1 which means each student gets more than 1 cup of broth.

The table shows the volume of water in a tank after it has been filled to a certain height.
Lilit [14]

Functions and tables can be used to model real world situations.

The equation that represents volume is: \mathbf{V(h) = 1.05(h)^3}

From the table, we have:

\mathbf{h \to V}

\mathbf{0 \to 0}

\mathbf{1 \to 1.05}

\mathbf{2 \to 8.40}

\mathbf{3 \to 28.35}

The table can be rewritten as:

\mathbf{h \to V}

\mathbf{0 \to 1.05 \times 0^3}

\mathbf{1 \to 1.05 \times 1^3}

\mathbf{2 \to 1.05 \times 2^3}

\mathbf{3 \to 1.05 \times 3^3}

Replace 0, 1, 2 and 3 with h

\mathbf{h \to 1.05 \times h^3}

The above expression means that:

\mathbf{V(h) = 1.05 \times h^3}

Rewrite as:

\mathbf{V(h) = 1.05(h)^3}

Hence, the equation that represents volume is: \mathbf{V(h) = 1.05(h)^3}

Hello, help me please)
AlladinOne [14]

Answer:

Given equation:

10^{5x-2}=2^{8x-3}

Take natural logs of both sides:

\implies \ln 10^{5x-2}= \ln 2^{8x-3}

\textsf{Apply log Power law}: \quad \ln_ax^n=n\ln_ax

\implies (5x-2)\ln 10=(8x-3) \ln 2

Expand brackets:

\implies 5x\ln 10 - 2\ln 10=8x \ln 2 -3 \ln 2

Collect like terms:

\implies 5x\ln 10 - 8x \ln 2 =2\ln 10-3 \ln 2

Factor left sides:

\implies x(5\ln 10 - 8 \ln 2) =2\ln 10-3 \ln 2

\textsf{Apply log Power law}: \quad \ln_ax^n=n\ln_ax

\implies x(\ln 10^5 - \ln 2^8) =\ln 10^2- \ln 2^3

\textsf{Apply log Quotient law}: \quad \ln_a\frac{x}{y}=\ln_ax - \ln_ay

\implies x\left(\ln\left(\dfrac{10^5}{2^8}\right)\right) =\ln\left(\dfrac{10^2}{2^3}\right)

Simplify:

\implies x\left(\ln\left(\dfrac{3125}{8}\right)\right) =\ln\left(\dfrac{25}{2}\right)

\implies x=\dfrac{\ln\left(\dfrac{25}{2}\right)}{\ln\left(\dfrac{3125}{8}\right)}

\implies x=0.4232297737...
