Answer:

4

7

6

9

Step-by-step explanation:

g(x) is the output or y.

g(7)=4

The input is 7, so the output or y is 4.

g(0)=7

The input is 0, so the output or y is 7.

g(-5)=6

The input is -5, so the output or y is 6.

g(x)=3 when x=9.

When the output is 3, the input is 9.

Hey there! I'm happy to help!

A function is like a machine that your put a number into and it gives you a new number once it's gone through it.

If you say f(1), this means you are putting the number 1 into this function machine, which we called f. It can also be called other letters such as g, as it is in this problem.

When looking at a function on a graph, the number we put in (our input) is on the x-axis, and our output (result or new number) is on the y-axis.

The blue line represents all of the outputs. Let's look at g(7). What value is the blue line at when x is at seven? Well, if you go to the 7 on the x-axis and go up, you bump into the blue line at the y-value of 4. This means that when you insert 7 into the function, your output will be 4, giving us g(7)=4. Pretty cool, right?

Now, for g(0). If we go to the center of the graph (this is called the origin, it is at 0 on both the x and y axes) and look up, we see that the function is at y-value 7 at the x-value of 0. This means that if we put 0 into our function, our result would be 7, so g(0)=7.

The same goes for g(-5). You go the -5 on the x-axis, look up, and the function is at y-value 6, so g(-5)=6.

For the final one, we do it backwards. We need to see what number we put in to give us 3. Well, let's look at the y-value of 3. We see that the function touches this value on the far right side, at x-value 9, which means we plug in a 9 to get 3 as our output.

So, here are your answers.

g(7)=4

g(0)=7

g(-5)=6

g(x)=3 when x=9.

Now you can interpret inputs and outputs of a function from a graph! Have a wonderful day! :D

kotykmax [81]

By verbal reasoning, the pair of words required can be obtained from the

synonyms of the given pair.

Correct response:

  • <u>Variable</u>; <u>supposition</u>
<h3>Analysis used for making the above selection</h3>

Prediction: A prediction is a statement indicating the result to be

expected from a trial or test, based on deductive reasoning from a

theory or hypothesis.

An explanation is a statement describing a phenomenon and is taken as

an  hypothesis.

A variable is an outcome of a test or trial, or observation.

A supposition is a held notion or belief that is similar to a hypothesis.

Therefore;

Prediction is to explanation as <u>variable</u> is to <u>supposition</u>.

When finding the slope of a line using a slope triangle, the____
Elenna [48]

Answer:

rise, run

Step-by-step explanation:

When finding the slope of a line using a slope triangle, the RISE length is divided by the RUN length. (I think. Sometimes the "divided by" makes me confused about which is on top, but I'm pretty sure this is right.)

SVEN [57.7K]

Answer:

log\boxed{7}

Step-by-step explanation:

  • log\frac{14}{3}+log\frac{11}{5}-log\frac{22}{15}

  • =log\bigg(\frac{14}{3}*\frac{11}{5}\bigg)-log\frac{22}{15}

  • =log\bigg(\frac{14*11}{3*5}\bigg)-log\frac{22}{15}

  • =log\bigg(\frac{154}{15}\bigg)-log\frac{22}{15}

  • =log\bigg(\frac{154}{15}\div\frac{22}{15}\bigg)

  • =log\bigg(\frac{154}{15}\times\frac{15}{22}\bigg)

  • =log\bigg(\frac{154}{22}\bigg)

  • =log\boxed{7}
