Appreciative listening is a type of listening in which the listener listens the auditory for some information that is personally liked or appreciated. For instance, appreciative listening is used when listening to poetry, meditation or a good song.
However, the information that is perceived by the listener may vary from person to person. For instance, some may find meditation to be appreciative yet some find it to be complicated.
Listeners engage in appreciative listening for the joy. Appreciative listening focuses on the listener’s perception and not on the source of sound.
