Answer: C) Character motivation.

Explanation: In literature, the character motivation is the reason why a character decides to do a specific action or develop a specific behavior. This behavior is characterized by the character's own willingness to do something. There are two types of motivation: one is intrinsic (it comes from some of the character's internal reasons), while the other one is extrinsic (the character is motivated by an external reason).

In little more than a decade, Argentina has become the world’s leading exporter of honey, with nearly 90,000 tons a year sold to
love history [14]

Answer:

Comma + present participle modifier is used to refer to the complete preceding clause - the modifier describes the result of the preceding clause or explains how the action in the preceding clause is done. Here the present participle "selling nearly...." is required to describe how Argentina became the leading exporter. Thus option D and E are left. IN option D the pronoun "It" does not a valid antecedent. Hence E is the best option among the given.

However in option E, the prepositional phrase "with almost half going.." refers in turn to the present participle modifier "selling..." - such usage is generally considered awkward in GMAT. A better, more GMAT-like construction would be:

In little more than a decade, Argentina has become the world’s leading exporter of honey, selling to foreign markets nearly 90,000 tons a year, half going to United States.

OR

In little more than a decade, Argentina has become the world’s leading exporter of honey, selling to foreign markets nearly 90,000 tons a year, half of them going to United States.

OR

In little more than a decade, Argentina has become the world’s leading exporter of honey, selling to foreign markets nearly 90,000 tons a year, half of which went to United States.

The above three alternatives show the correct usage of three different forms of subgroup modifier (referring to "90,000 tons").

describe both ponyboy and johnny perspectives regarding the events, people, and situations in the novel.
Agata [3.3K]

Them sodas to "cool them off." Cherry throws her soda into Dally's face and the situation is tense until Johnny steps in to defend her, which is surprising given that Johnny worships Dally and considers him his hero. Fortunately, Johnny is the gangs' pet, so Dally just stalks off without confrontation. Two-Bit joins Ponyboy and Johnny, and he and Marcia hit it off.

What is the proper way to cite sources in APA style?
Vera_Pavlovna [14]

Explanation:

APA style is commonly used for term papers, essays, and scientific papers. It uses an in-text citation with a reference list accompanying it. This means that the writer needs to cite the author and year of the work by putting them both in parentheses (separated by a comma) and for the references list the writer needs to follow the pattern author, date, title, source.

This general format gets minority modified depending on the source, for example, for journal articles, the template is Author, A., & Author, B. (year). Title of the article. Journal Title, Volume, page range. DOI

For books, the title of the book, publisher location, and name are adapted to the format and for websites, you add the retrieved date and URL.

I hope you find this information useful and interesting, good luck!

Compare Sarah Palin's view of government involvement in addressing obesity issues with Congressman Tim Huelskamp's view. Use sup
frez [133]
Compare Sarah Palin's view of government involvement in addressing obesity issues with Congressman Tim Huelskamp's view.

Answer: I believe that both of their views are very different and have different targets, on one hand we have Sarah Palin who thinks that the government should not get involved with what kids are eating at all when she directly attacks the“Let's Move” initiative. On the other we have Tim Huelskamp who does not agree with having to limit the amount of calories that kids eat at school. I believe that Tim’s view is right since every kid is different and I really don't think that limiting the amount of food they consume is the right way to handle the obesity problem.

I hope it helps, Regards.
