Asia is the continent that has added the most people and is also the most populous continent in the world. The two largest countries in Asia, China and India, have over one billion inhabitants each.
Asia is home to some of the fastest growing economies in the world known as the Asian Tigers which lifted hundreds of millions of people out of poverty in only a few decades. With economic growth now shifting from East Asia to Southeast Asia, more economic weight will shift towards the most populous and fasted growing continent in the future.
