This work has a lot of interpretation, but the strongest reason is the following:
Goya painted this work between 1819 and 1823 directly on the walls of his house, most of people says that this work represent God and how he put us in the terrenal world to fight and kill each others for power, if all of us come from him, why we start killing between us? are we not his image and likeness? if so, Is this his meaning reason? The specific situation that makes to believe that this was the inspiration of Goya is because of the conflicts that were happen on Spain on those years.
