In mathematics, central tendency is the tendency of data values to cluster around some central value. What does a measure of variability tell you about the central tendency of a set of data? Explain.

Variability tells us how spread out the data points are around the center. The smaller the variability, the more clustered the points are to the center. In terms of a bell curve, the smaller the variability, the taller and skinnier it will get where its tallest point is at the center. In contrast, a larger variability makes the distribution curve wider and flatter.
