Side scatter is related to a characteristic of white blood cells that are granulated (granulocytes). Side scatter in Flow Cytometry is a measurement that provides information about the internal complexity (that is granularity) of a cell. It is helpful for identification of the cells varying complexity. For example, monocytes and granulocytes. granulocytes are characterized by the high volume of cytoplasmic granules.

evaluate the hypothesis that mutations in slc7a9 have a greater effect on the transport of cysteine across the plasma membrane o
konstantin123 [22]

Answer:

The slc7a9 (Solute Carrier Family 7 Member 9) gene encodes for a protein that plays a critical role in the transport of cysteine in the kidneys, thereby a mutation in this gene may lead to health problems related to the urinary system. On the other hand, the SLC3A1 gene encodes a protein subunit which is required to form a transporter complex that is not involved in the transport of cysteine.

heat is lost due to direct contact.

(2) Free Convection - (E) A dog stands outside on a cold, but windless, day and loses heat to the air. There is heat transfer due to difference in temperatures.

(3) Forced Convection- (A) A bear stands in a cold flowing stream and loses heat to the water.  Here we consider buoyancy effects.

(4) Evaporation- An athlete sweats while running a race. water turns evaporates from the body taking a away heat.
