1. Political subunits are marked areas inside a political unit, having various type of governing power, but has to obey to the central power.

Explanation:

The political subunits are areas that are in the territory of a political unit, a country. These types of areas can have different types of self governing, which also depends a lot on the type of the political subunit. Some of the types of political subunits are:

  • municipality
  • autonomous region
  • province
  • territory
  • federal state

The main reason as to why there are political subunits is so that the territory of the country can be governed better, easier, and more efficiently. On the other hand, there are political subunits that exist because of ethnic, religious, and separatist motives, and these political subunits often tend to cause lot of internal problems in the political units itself.

2. The relationship between the subunits in the state can be very different, varying anywhere from very good and collaborative, to conflict ones.

Explanation:

The political subunits in a states have many different types of relations between them. The relationships depend on numerous factors, and while some time they are good and positive, other times cause a lot of problems and even conflicts. Some of the factors that contribute to the type of relationships between the political subunits are:

  • historical
  • political
  • ethnic
  • religious
  • economic

The majority of the political subunits tend to have good relationships and collaborate between each other for the good of all of them. This is the case with the federal states in the United States. On the other hand, there are some that traditionally have tensions between them because of some dispute of the past. Though they don't manifest it, it is easily noticeable between the people, as it is the case with the municipalities Negotino and Kavadarci because the people from Kavadarci set Negotino on fire some 140 years ago. Some political subunits have conflicts with other political subunits in the state, and the reasons are numerous, as can be seen in the case of Catalonia in Spain, until recently South Sudan in Sudan, or Kurdistan in Turkey, which want to separate from the state.

Based on your answer in part A what role does gravity play in the separation of the liquids shown
AveGali [126]

Gravity plays an important role in the separation of liquids because it determines the volume of liquids, and therefore, it affects the density.

When you mix different liquids they often separate forming defined layers. This process is possible due to the differences in density (mass/ volume). In this way, the liquid with a lower density will float over the liquid with a higher density.

This phenomenon is affected by gravity or the force that makes everything on the Earth to be pulled towards the center of it. This is because gravity exerts pressure over bodies and affects the volume, which is one of the factors that determines density.
