Find m so that the quadrilateral is a parallelogram. Enter your answer as a number.

4 0

Answer:

m=6

Step-by-step explanation:

For this figure to be a parallelogram, the sides must be the same length

4m+2 = 3m+8

Subtract 3m from each side

4m+2-3m = 3m+8-3m

m+2 =8

Subtract 2 from each side

m+2-2 =8-2

m=6

What is the exponential regression equation that fits these data
s2008m [1.1K]

Answer:

Correct choice is B.

Step-by-step explanation:

Plot the data from the given table on the coordinate plane.

Note that option C and D represent the quadratic and linear regressions (not exponential), thus, these options are false.

Plot both graphs from options A and B. The exponential regression from option A is shown by red curve (see attached diagram) and the the exponential regression from option B is shown by blue curve. As you can see the green points better suit blue curve, thus, option B is correct.

<u>Remark:</u>

Note that

\dfrac{570}{240}, \dfrac{240}{85}, \dfrac{85}{27}, \dfrac{27}{8}, \dfrac{8}{3} are greater than 1.03, then option A is false.

At Nolan's Car Rentals, customers will pay $60 to rent a mid-sized car for the first day, plus $5 for each additional day. At We
Zarrin [17]

Answer:

2, 70

Step-by-step explanation:

It is given that :

At Nolan's Car rentals, if a customer rents a car, he or she has to pay $60 for the car for the first day and more $ 5 for every additional days.

Therefore this gives the equation :

y = 5x +60 ..........(1)

At Westford car rental, the price of the car for first day is $ 50 and additional $10 for every additional day.

So the equation will be :

y = 10x + 50.......(2)

Solving (1) and (2), we get

 5x + 60 = 10x + 50

⇒ 60 - 50 = 10x - 5x

⇒ 10 =  5x

∴ x = 2

Now putting the value of x = 2 in equation (1), we get

y = 5x +60

y = 5(2) +60

y = 70

Therefore, (x, y) = (2, 70)

Can someone explain this? :)
Alchen [17]

I'll do part (a) to get you started.

The angle 'a' pairs up with the 123 degree angle as a corresponding angle pair. Due to the parallel lines, the corresponding angles are congruent. Therefore a = 123.

We also see that b = 123 as well since a = b (they are vertical angles).

Notice how angle c is adjacent to the 123 degree angle. These two angles form a straight line, so they must add to 180 degrees.

c+123 = 180

c = 180-123

c = 57

-------------------------

To summarize, we have these three angles

a = 123

b = 123

c = 57
