1/5×m+2/3-2=m-2/5
Multiply both sides by 15:
3m+10-30=15m-6
12m=14
m=14/12
m=1.16

Allright so what you do is like this. you are trying to solve for M and since both questions are equal, we can try to isolate so M is on one side and the rest is on the other.
1. The Right Hand Side is easier to isolate since M doesn't have any coefficants (numbers that are multiplied <em><u>5n</u>) <u /></em>So what you do is you add 2/5 to both sides to to get ride of the -2/5 on the right hand side and add to the left hand side, your equation is (1/5)m - (8/5)=m what you could so next is...
2. You divide (1/5) from the left side m to isolate m from the coefficant, but doing this is also like multiplying the <u>recipricol</u> (the opposite, numerator is denominator, denominator is numerator) so you could multiply all side by 5 or (5/1) do this to everything in all sides so your -(8/5) is multiplied by 5 (makes just -8), what your equation looks like is m-8=5m, at the end just subtract m from the left side to to isolate the number on the left side and the variable on the right side. you get -8=4m, divide by 4 to isolate m and then you get -2=m or M=-2.

Hope this helps, i write too much.<em />

If an arrow is shot upward on Mars with a speed of 56 m/s, its height in meters t seconds later is given by y = 56t − 1.86t^2. F
makkiz [27]

Answer:

<h2><em>50.42m/s</em></h2>

Step-by-step explanation:

Average speed is the change in distance of a body with respect to time. This is expressed as:

v = \delta y/\delta t\\v = \dfrac{y(t_2)-y(t_1)}{t_2-t_1}

Given the function of the height in metres expressed as y = 56t − 1.86t² and time interval [1,2]

t₁ = 1sec and t₂ = 2 secs

y(t₂) = 56t₂ − 1.86t₂²

y(2) = 56(2) − 1.86(2)²

y(2) = 112-7.44

y(2) = 104.56

y(t₁ ) = 56t₁  − 1.86t₁ ²

y(1) = 56(1) − 1.86(1)²

y(1) = 56-1.86

y(1) = 54.14

Substituting the derived value into the formula for finding the average speed:

v = \dfrac{y(t_2)-y(t_1)}{t_2-t_1}\\\\v = \dfrac{104.56-54.14}{2-1}\\\\v = \dfrac{50.42}{1}\\\\v = 50.42m/s

<em>Hence, the average speed over the given time intervals. [1, 2] is 50.42m/s</em>
