The Imperial Japanese Navy during the beginning of WWII was growing powerful and exercise their strength in the Pacific Ocean. Japan fought and conquered territories in China and Korea and soon rise in power in Asia and the Pacific. Japan had adopted hostile warlike attitudes toward the regions where they invaded.  The Axis powers included countries like Germany, Japan, and Italy. The growing power and the attack on  Pearl harbour lead Americans to secure islands that were vital for attacking the Japanese mainland.
