If it is known that the Phoenicians, famous sailors, merchants and shipbuilders, thanks to the access to the Mediterranean Sea, made it easy to navigate the Atlantic, it was easy to imagine that the benefits of access to the Mediterranean could have the significance for accessing a more distant commercial destination.
