a cold front coming in

Explanation:

A meteorologist might forecast precipitation if he sees a cold front coming into an area. Cold fronts are good indicators of precipitation in an area. They lie in the region between descending cold air masses and rising warm air.

  • In a cold front, the temperature behind the front is usually lower compared to the air ahead.
  • When cold air replaces warm air, it is a cold front.
  • When a cold front passes, heavy rain accompanies it, temperature drops and the dew point considerable lowers.

What effects does the change of seasons have on the angle of the sun above the horizon at noon?
irina [24]

Answer:

It changes the angle.

Explanation:

Seasonality affects the angle of the sun above the horizon by making it higher in the summer and lower in the winter.

The tilt of the Earth is responsible for the seasons and for the angle at which the solar rays make contact with any given point on the globe during a certain season.

In summer, the Sun is closer to the overhead position, while in winter the Sun is lower on the horizon.

What is the difference between solar and lunar eclipse?
Anarel [89]

A lunar eclipse happens on the moon, when the moon sails through the  Earth's wide, fat shadow.  Then, for a while, no sunlight can reach the moon, because the Earth is in the way.  Anybody on the night side of Earth who looks up toward the moon sees it turn dark, until it sails out of the Earth's shadow after an hour or two.

A solar eclipse happens on the Earth, when the narrow end of the moon's skinny shadow falls somewhere on the surface of the Earth.  Then, people who are inside that small spot and look up toward the sun can't see it, because the moon is in the way.  The moon is moving so fast, and its shadow is so small, that this can only last for a few minutes at any one place.
