It is important to sleep well. Sleeping helps us cope with stress effectively and notgetting enough sleep can increase our level

of stress. Stress hormones are higher in
insomniacs than in others. It is said that deep sleep helps our nervous system function
better. We have a lower concentration level if our body is sleep-deprived. Sleep also
helps our memory. We tend to retain newly learnt skills or activities better if our brain is
well rested. Insomnia also affects our health adversely and we can have difficulty in
accomplishing daily tasks. Lack of sleep can lead to ailments such as diabetes and high
blood pressure. Too much screen time also interferes with our sleep. So, it is important
that we plan our days in such a way that we get enough sleep at night. Exercise and
yoga can help improve our sleep patterns. Are you getting enough sleep? If not, it is time
for a lifestyle change.
